This particular program installs a bunch of codecs and other things that are useful on a fresh Ubuntu system. Currently it only has a command line interface, but that may change sometime soon. Yes, I realize that the market there is crowded, but every other script violates most principles of good Ubuntu system administration. I've tried to make this one work properly without such idiocy.
Most streaming services charge monthly fees for your video needs. This one doesn't. Also, I wrote parts of it. Specifically, I wrote the programming that faces Amazon's Elastic Computing Cloud, as well as the enqueuing logic.
This represents a small sample of my code. It consists of various assignments and projects I've done over the years that are of no practical value, but hey, you might be interested.
I'm working on writing a decent guide to Python programming for the complete neophyte. I've got some work done, but it's still in a very embryonic state.
About the name
You misspelled photosynthesis.
No, I didn't. If this were supposed to be photosynthesis.net, it would be.
Why not use your real name for the domain name?
The fact is that my name is incredibly common. I don't want to be confused with a motivational speaker, a baseball player from the 19th century, or a congressman from Missouri, or any number of other people who happen to share my name. You may even suggest adding my middle name, but honestly, that wouldn't help much. Thus, I use a handle to distinguish myself.
